At dinner tonight:
Elijah: Daddy, may I use that knife, please?
Daddy: No chum, knives are dangerous. You'll have to grow a lot before you can learn to use a knife.
Elijah: Will you grow, please?
Daddy: Not tonight - it takes a long time to grow.
Elijah: Maybe after nap time?
Early this morning, before it was time to get up, Molly started fussing. I got up to help her, and I heard Elijah saying, "Molly, Molly, Molly! Go back to sleep, it's still nap time." If only he could reach to put her pacifier back in!
