Cheerios!
The other day Molly finally accomplished a goal that she has been working toward with great determination and perseverance - she picked up a Cheerio and put it into her mouth! All by herself! Elijah and I celebrated with her. We were all excited and proud of her. She loves Cheerios! (So did Elijah!)
Visit with Jackie & Luke
Last Saturday Jackie & Luke and the kids came to visit for the day. We had a great time just hanging out together, eating, playing games and talking, and the kids played together really well. It was so fun! We didn't take many pictures (as usual), but here are a couple of Elijah and Lily reading together.

Hot Chocolate
On Monday, we had a warmer (above freezing!) sunny day, so I thought we ought to get outside for a while, even though Elijah has a bit of a cold. We haven't had many chances to get out this winter! So we bundled up and went for a short walk. Elijah had a great time crunching through the remaining snow and splashing in the puddles. When we got home, I made some hot chocolate - barely warm for Elijah. I thought he would love it - he doesn't get sweet things very often. He took one sip and made a face, and then refused to try anymore. Here's a video of our "special treat."

The big bath
Molly has moved from her little infant bath into the big tub this week. She loves sitting in all the water, but when she gets all excited and tries to kick, she sometimes loses her balance!

Colorado
My dad sent me one of those funny e-mails the other day ... it made me laugh and miss home, so I thought I would share (just my favorites). Yes, I know, I'm a nerd ...
You're from Colorado if ...
You have no accent at all, but can hear other people's. And then you make fun of them.
'Humid' is over 25%.
Your sense of direction is: Toward the mountains and Away from the mountains.
You say 'the interstate' and everybody knows which one.
You think that April is a totally normal month for a blizzard. (And that snow in September and May is not that weird, either.)
You grew up planning your Halloween costumes around your coat. (And snow boots!)
You know what the Continental Divide is.
You've gone off-roading in a vehicle that was never intended for such activities.
You always know the elevation of where you are.
You wake up to a beautiful, 80 degree day and you check to see if it's going to snow tomorrow.
Everybody wears jeans to church.
You actually know that "South Park" is a real place not just a show on TV.
Your two favorite teams are the Broncos and whoever is beating the crap out of the Raiders.
When people out East tell you they have mountains in their state too, you just laugh.
You go anywhere else on the planet and the air feels 'sticky' (I usually think 'sticky' and 'thick') and you notice the sky is no longer quite the same blue.

Little man
Yesterday, Elijah woke up from his nap with a huge, leaking poopy diaper. I was changing all of his clothes (his favorite sweat pants) when he said, "Mama, I want to wear my tie." So here's the outfit he picked out. What a funny kid!
