Ocean sunset

On Sunday afternoon we met some friends from church at Breton State Park for a picnic. Normal evening church was off for the week, and it was a very warm day, so we decided to do enjoy some outdoor fellowship time! It was great to have the opportunity to see people outside of morning worship, since the kids' bedtime schedule usually keeps us home from evening church. It was quite a bit cooler at the beach (as usual) and we had a really nice time. I didn't get any pictures of the kids running around or anything, but I did get the sunset as we were leaving. It was so pretty!

Yes, that's me in the rear-view mirror, taking the picture and holding an extra pacifier in my mouth. And yes, that's normal.

Elijah this week

Here are a few pictures of Elijah this week.

When I got Elijah up from his nap one day, he had been trying to put on a sweatshirt by himself.

Children's museum

On Wednesday, the kids and I met Jackie, Noah and Lily at the Providence Children's Museum. We had a lot of fun playing! The kids especially loved the water room. It was nice enough to eat and play outside for a while, too. It was such a good day. I forgot to take my camera, but probably wouldn't have gotten many pictures anyway, since I had my hands full with Molly. Jackie was nice enough to send me the pictures she took - thanks, Jackie!

Noah and Elijah play with boats and work the locks.

The locks.

Elijah loved playing with the balls.

Miss Molly - relieved to get out of the stroller for a while!

Playing a silly game with Mama - I throw myself backward ...

... and Mama blows on my face.

It's hysterical!

Elijah playing with the ramps.

The pouring toys are always fun, too.

Playing with Lily outside at the fountain.

Talking to Molly

Mama, the big kids are over there.

Dressing like early Rhode Island settlers.

Aren't they cute!?

This weekend

Well, we had another one of those kind of weeks/weekends - Patrick had to work a lot and first Molly got sick, and then Elijah came down with it today. But that's life. Hopefully this is our last cold of the season.

Molly also has learned to pull up in her crib - which was very exciting for the first day or so when she could get up but couldn't get back down on her own! But she has mastered sitting down again without falling over now, so we are glad.

Boys going to the park - "Hey, we match!"

Tired, sick baby - she took a super long nap this morning! She is holding her Bobbi blanket and her bunny cuddled up under her.

Easter dress

Here are the kids in their Easter best.
(Um, that's a rather awkward pose, Miss Molly. You look uncomfortable. Maybe we should try that again ... Nope, not gonna get another one.)

You look very cute, sweetie, but can you put your leg down and be a little more lady-like for the picture?

Yes, I know those shoes are cute.

I would like one where your diaper isn't showing though, please.

Well, you can just imagine how cute she was with her dress down. There's no picture of it!

Easter, part 2

Here are a few pictures from Easter Sunday. We had a great day of worship and family and fellowship. It started very early with an outdoor sunrise service. Elijah was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 5 am despite being up several times during the night. He even got up around 3 am and turned on the light to read books - while Noah and Lily were sleeping! Molly thankfully got both her naps in, and Elijah slept a bit in the car on the way to lunch.

All bundled up for the sunrise service.

Napping on the way to lunch - he needed it!

See, Molly does love Auntie Jackie, too!

The kids all had a great time together.

Elijah really enjoyed his first Easter egg hunt.

Lily was the egg hunting champion!

Our Easter weekend, part 1

We got to spend Easter weekend with Jackie and Luke and their family. It was fun to spend some time with them, and to get to go to the big, family dinner even though our families are further away. We drove out on Saturday and had a relaxing afternoon and evening. We didn't take a lot of pictures on Saturday, but here are the few that we got.

Eating dinner.

The kids made their best faces for Patrick. =)

Molly, with Uncle Luke, acting like she lets other people hold her all the time.

She sure likes him a lot!
